Adult ADHD & Dual Autism / ADHD Assessments

CADS also offers adult ADHD assessments and combined autism + ADHD assessments, recognising that many adults present with overlapping or previously unrecognised profiles.

ADHD Assessments

The NHS now accepts gold-standard private ADHD diagnoses. If you wish to pursue medication via the NHS, private diagnostic reports are reviewed and it is at the GP’s discretion whether to refer onto the medication pathway. CADS does not prescribe medication directly, but we are in partnership with an external prescribing service for those who wish to explore private prescribing.

Dual Autism & ADHD Assessments (Adults)

Where a dual diagnosis is being explored, additional ADHD-specific information is gathered, including:

• DIVA interview: a detailed structured ADHD interview completed online

• Additional observation and interview (30–45 minutes) with Tania Richards, completed face-to-face or online

• Additional questionnaires to gather further information from your perspective and relative, partner, or friend where appropriate

This integrated approach supports diagnostic clarity and avoids unnecessary duplication.

Fees & Timeframes (Adults)

• Adult Autism Assessment: £2,000 (including report)

• Adult ADHD Assessment: £1300 (including report)

• Combined Adult Autism & ADHD Assessment: £2,900

We are currently booking adult assessments for February 2026 as referrals are received. Where possible, information gathering begins in advance, with final outcomes typically provided within 1–2 weeks of the final assessment appointment.
